The modalities that guide my practice are those I have personally found beneficial in my own process towards greater self understanding, emotional regulation, clarity, and capacity. Everything I guide clients through, I have done or am in the process of doing myself. This collaborative stance as your guide towards a more intimate relationship with yourself is essential in our work together.

Throughout the last 10 years of my counseling training and practice, I have studied relationship-oriented counseling strategies, parent/child specific interventions, yoga, mindfulness, and somatic (body-oriented) approaches to the human experience. I have worked in crisis intervention, child welfare, and in-home environments. In addition, I have worked at the intersection of the mental health and legal systems. Prior to working in mental health, I worked as a childcare provider and a yoga/movement teacher.

Currently, I am focused on my private practice seeing individuals as well as providing supervision to clinicians in training (as a WA State Approved Clinical Supervisor). My primary theoretical approaches integrate Polyvagal theory, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Mindfulness. I typically see older teens through adults specifically interested in working from a body-oriented perspective who value the integration of spirituality and mindfulness/meditation into their personal work.

Providing pro bono mental health services to current or former foster youth as a proud volunteer with A Home Within is also an important piece of my clinical practice.
